How the Candidates Stand on Issues Affecting Veterans

For the upcoming election, the Coalition of Veterans Organizations invites all candidates to submit statements concerning their positions on veterans’ issues, and their statements will be posted on our website. The types of issues that are of particular concern to us were voiced in our May 24 press conference in City Hall: https://www.coalitionofvets.org/city-hall-press-conference-photos-on-may-24-2016/.

This does not mean, however, that candidates should restrict their comments to these items. They could, for example, advocate for chiropractic care at VA hospitals, since this is one of our current issues of interest. They could also advocate for free dental care for veterans who are not eligible for such care through the VA, perhaps at dental schools, such as UIC.

Statements can be emailed to our webmaster at: webmaster@coalitionofvets.org

CVO is 501(c)(3) organization, so we do not endorse candidates. Our request for candidate inputs will be put on our website, so that veterans can educate themselves on the candidates.
