End urban violence: Veterans have endured the violence of combat and know that it has no place in our communities. We have a special role to play in ending the violence on our streets. We support local and national efforts to end the violence in our cities.

Illinois Warrior Summit 2012
The US Department of Veterans Affairs, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Edward Hines VA Hospital, James Lovell Federal Health Care Center and Illinois Supporting All Veterans Equally (ISAVE) will be hosting the Illinois Warrior Summit and 5th Annual Welcome Home Celebration for 4,000 military, veterans and families on Thursday, August 9th, 2012 from 10a-3p at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Forum – (725 W. Chicago Memorial Day Parade 2012
We hope to see everyone at the Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 26th. We are Number 90 and there are two ways to connect with us for the Parade.
1) At 7:45 AM we are meeting at the General Jones Armory at 52nd and Cottage Grove.
2) At 11 AM we are gathering on Wacker Drive between Clark and LaSalle. Again, we are No. 90. Look for us, our signs and the Humvees there. Read more [...]
