It is with deep sorrow that I pass on the information that CVO member Taalibdin Shabazz has passed away. Taalibdin was a past member of the CVO Executive Committee. He was a founder of the Muslim American Veterans Association, Chapter 2 and was its long time representative to CVO. Taalibdin served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He was a long standing pioneer and supporter of the Mosque Cares Ministry of Imam W.D. Mohammed.
Taalibdin always seemed happy and always had a good word for you. He was full of fun and often joked. He was a kind and gentle man. He was dedicated to serving his faith and serving veterans. He was a regular at CVO meetings until his health prevented it and then always maintained MAVA membership in CVO and kept in touch. He will be sorely missed.
