A group of concerned veterans attended a Press Conference on Tuesday May 24, at City Hall. We were there to express the concerns of veterans in Chicago and Illinois and to call on those running for elective office to have a well thought out, comprehensive program for the veteran community which we represent. We call on veterans themselves to stand up and be counted; vote for those candidates with a veterans program that supports and benefits our community.

The next Chicago Job Fair will take place on Thursday, October 17 at the Congress Plaza Hotel at 520 South Michigan Ave from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will feature a diverse set of employers hiring for many different types of positions - your job seekers will be meeting face-to-face with hiring decision makers and can ask about all of the jobs these companies have available. In a difficult economy it is important to make as many contacts as you are able and the Chicago Career Fair is a great place to do just that. Please be sure to let your job seekers know to bring at least 10 copies of their resume, dress professionally, and be self-confident since they are taking a great step towards discovering new career opportunities!
