Supt. Zaragoza, fellow veterans, family, and friends,
Thank you for your kindness. I extend special thanks to the Veteran’s Assistance Commission of Cook County for their thoughtful appreciation in honoring my achievements today. Due to a previous obligation with my music, I regret not being able to be here before you.
We’re all Veterans together. Being members of the Veteran’s Association of Cook County, we all have a responsibility to work toward protecting our rights and our family’s rights. We’re supposed to be doing that through education, communication, and technology. So let’s go home and do just that……….with a smile on our face and love in our hearts.

A patriotic member of the Union League Club of Chicago has tickets to Cubs vs. Pirates games (four tickets to each game) coming up next Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (7:05 p.m., Apr. 8 and 9) at Wrigley Field that he wishes to donate to veterans. Ideally these tickets would be given to/claimed by veterans who otherwise would not be able to attend.
These are upper-deck seats overlooking the 1st
base side (Sec. 430, Row 8, seats 101-104) and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you know of veterans/veteran families who would like to take advantage of these donated tickets, please let me know ASAP (firstname.lastname@example.org or 312-435-5945) and we will make arrangements to get them the tickets; if they have an e-mail address, the tickets can be transferred to them electronically.
