CVO Response to the VA Crisis Hot Line Problems

A letter was sent to Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Erik Shinkseki expressing our concern over the life-threatening difficulties encountered with the VA Crisis Hot Line. Copies were also sent to the VA Inspector General, the entire Illinois Congressional Delegation, and the National Commanders of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). April 2014 CVO Meeting

The next meeting of CVO will be on Saturday, April 19th from 10 AM to 12:30 PM in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center at 820 S Damen in Chicago. Parking validation will be available. Eight FREE Cubs tickets for veterans – Apr. 8 & 9 night games

A patriotic member of the Union League Club of Chicago has tickets to Cubs vs. Pirates games (four tickets to each game) coming up next Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (7:05 p.m., Apr. 8 and 9) at Wrigley Field that he wishes to donate to veterans.
