April 2014 CVO Meeting

The next meeting of CVO will be on Saturday, April 19th from 10 AM to 12:30 PM in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center at 820 S Damen in Chicago. Parking validation will be available.

The agenda will include taking our program to our elected representatives, the May Armed Forces Day CVO Fundraiser, and CVO participation in the Memorial Day Parade.

As usual, coffee and donuts will be served.

Update Welcome Home Parade for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans 2012

CVO is unit number 13 in the Welcome Home Parade for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans this Saturday, December 15th. We will form up on Balbo East between Lake Shore Drive and Columbus on the north side of the street. Be there no later than 10:45. We are an early unit in the Parade, so we will kick off on time. Bring family and friends and dress warmly. It will be fun for all!! We have vehicles for those who cannot walk. The Parade route is north from Balbo on Columbus to Monroe.

Wear your CVO shirts and headgear. We’ll have shirts for sale at the Parade as well.

Chicago Memorial Day Parade 2012

We hope to see everyone at the Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 26th. We are Number 90 and there are two ways to connect with us for the Parade.

 

1) At 7:45 AM we are meeting at the General Jones Armory at 52nd and Cottage Grove.

There is free parking. You will ride to the Parade with us in Humvees that will be representing us in the Parade. We will return you to the Armory and your vehicle after the Parade.

2) At 11 AM we are gathering on Wacker Drive between Clark and LaSalle. Again, we are No. 90. Look for us, our signs and the Humvees there.

Everyone is invited! Bring family and friends. You can walk with us or ride. The Parade is lots of fun and should be over by 2:00 PM or so.

CVO will be participating at the MAVA event after the Memorial Day Parade.
