CVO Supports the Fight against Urban Violence this Friday at 7 PM

This Friday—June 21st— there is a rally against Urban Violence and for Peace in the Streets at 7 PM at 78th Place and Throop. CVO firmly supports the movement for peace and has long been a member of Veterans for Peace. Veterans have a unique role to play in this movement. We have seen violence; we have been violent. We recognize that building a secure, safe environment for our children and families means ending urban violence. As veterans, we can bring experience and a respected position in society to the streets. We need you to show up and show the way!

Wear your CVO shirts and hats and show off that you are a veteran!

Come out and support CVO and Occupy the Streets this Friday and show the city and the world that we want Peace!

Request for help funding a Scholarship for Wards of the State

grad capCVO, and its member organization National Women Veterans United (NWVU) are on a mission and need your help to raise a $1,000 for one scholarship to a graduating ward of the state. CVO is supporting this effort with a $100 contribution and I have decided to contribute personally as well. We hope that you will, too. Give what you can: $100, $50 or even $25. We need to raise $1,000 quickly.

Please make checks out to NWVU and mail them to:

NWVU, PO Box 20149, Chicago IL 60620.

For more information, please email or call Rochelle Crump, NWVU President and CVO Co-Chair at or 773-895-8015.

Thank you for your consideration.
