David Rogers – CVO Founder

Joined the US Army Aug 1966, discharged Apr 73.  Served 2 years at the 106th GH 67 thru 69 working in support hospitals as a Personal Management Specialist, received life threating injuries, non combat related in 1969. Diagnosed with PTSD after years of misdiagnoses.  Claim pending in VA system since 1980.

Founder and Ex Dir of the Vet Net, A veterans Peer Support NPO, whose mission in part is to provide Peer Support Services to  Veterans and their families.  Director of the Ill Veterans Peer Support Project, funded by the Ill Dept Vet Affairs which has facilitated the trainings of 30 Peer Support Specialist and is establishing community Peer Support groups and services in the state and director of the Coalition of Veterans Organization and Director Jesse Brown VAMC Peer Support Project.

First Veteran Peer Specialist in the state and also a Certified Recovery Support Specialist, personal mission to train and empower others veterans with disabilities as Peer Specialist.
