CVO: State legislation concerning dental care for vets

The Coalition of Veterans Organizations is trying to get dental care for veterans, because relatively few are able to get this care through the VA. In other words, many veterans are not eligible for VA healthcare, but among those who are, only a fraction are eligible for dental care. Far too many veterans walk around with rotted teeth and other obvious signs of a lack of dental care. Continue reading

Lipinski Invites Third District Residents to Upcoming Town Hall Meeting Tuesday, May 9th,6-8 p.m.

Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-3) will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, May 9th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Kennedy High School Auditorium, located at the corner of 56th Street and Narragansett Avenue in Chicago. Staff from the Congressman’s office will be available beginning at 5 p.m. to provide assistance with Medicare, Social Security, veterans’ benefits, and other federal matters. Continue reading
