Preserving the Legacy
Supporting Black Veterans
(Military History Year-Round)

Chicago-area Coalition of Veteran Organization Members www.CoalitionofVets.org
The large group met in a meeting with the Monford Point Marine Association of Chicago, Illinois, where Mr. James A. Reynolds Jr. and Mr. Stanley Porter were two interesting senior citizen African American World War II veterans who told their story about their experience with being a part of the first groups of Black Marines in the United States military, around the year 1942.

Virgil Mathis is the digital historian of the Brigadier General Frank C. Bacon, American Legion 2091 Post of Chicago, Illinois. He says, “That as member of BroadbandIllinois.org representing veterans’ interests, the time has arrived for the many major banks that have military banking programs for veterans, such as Bank of America, Citi Bank, Chase Bank, and others, plus those banks that have community reinvestment funds.”

Our local veteran advocacy groups want the banks to sponsor the innovative information age touch-screen Kiosk T.V. systems for instant access to history about the Monford Point Marines, Tuskegee Airmen, 761st Tank Battalion, Golden Thirteen, Red Ball Express, Buffalo Soldiers, Dorie Miller, Milton Olive, women veterans, and the 688th WAC postal unit and other history to be seen, all on Kiosk T.V. systems in National Guard armories, public schools for educational purposes, for God and country, based on President Obama’s executive order to increase educational opportunities.

It is interesting to note that for major banks and other corporations who want to be listed in the huge write up in the Chicago Defender Newspaper, or to sponsor a page for veteran  news and events, projects, and programs about veterans in the news, contact:
