Commissioner Jeffrey Tobolski in partnership with the Cook County Department of Veteran Affairs and the Cook County Assessor’s Office will be hosting a seminar to assist veterans with the Disabled Veterans Exemption application process. Applications will be available from the Assessor’s Office beginning January 27th on the Cook County Assessor’s website (www.cookcountyassessor.com) or by mail.
Disabled Veterans Homeowner Exemption Seminar

The Assessor’s Office and the Cook County Department of Veterans Affairs
(www.cookcountyil.gov/veterans-affairs or 312-603-6423) will hold three seminars in February:

• February 8th – 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McCook Athletic & Exposition-Pub at the MAX, 4720 S. Vernon Ave., McCook IL (East side of the building). http://www.max-mccook.com/ (708) 485-1555

Veterans MUST bring a copy of their letter from the VA (Veterans Administration) that shows the veterans disability rating to qualify for their exemption.

It will outline a veterans program for candidates in the 2016 elections. CVO has had major input. We will also want CVO members to attend the press conference. We will also discuss a new report, the State of the American Veteran in Chicagoland.
