The next meeting of CVO will be held from 10 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 16th in the Conference Room at Jesse Brown VA Hospital.
A meeting of the CVO Veterans Affairs Committee will take place immediately following the CVO meeting. Any CVO member who wishes to join this committee may do so by attending this meeting. The main topic will be to come up with an idea (and, of course, get the ball rolling) as to what we should do to call attention to us and our issues. Marches, rallies, etc. are all possibilities. We will brainstorm.
As usual, coffee and donuts will be served.
These meetings will help guide CVO in 2016, so be sure to come out and support CVO!
The Illinois Dept. of Central Management Services Diversity Enrichment Program will be participating at the Arlington Hts. multi industry job fair on Tuesday February 16 along with a number of state agencies. See link http://www.illinois.gov/cms/events/SitePages/DispEvent.aspx?EventID=531
The next meeting of CVO will be held at Jesse Brown VA Hospital on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM in the second floor Conference Room. There will be an African American History presentation.

The next meeting of CVO will be held this Saturday, March 19th, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM in the 2nd floor conference room of the Jesse Brown VA Hospital in Chicago. The agenda includes new directions for CVO, the Memorial Day Parade and other topics.

The next meeting of CVO will be on Saturday, May 21st from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in the Conference Room on the 2nd Floor.
We will hold elections to the Executive Committee. We will also discuss the upcoming press conference being organized by former alderman Jim Balcer and others. It will outline a veterans program for candidates in the 2016 elections. CVO has had major input. We will also want CVO members to attend the press conference. The exact time and place will be announced.
We will also discuss a new report, the State of the American Veteran in Chicagoland.

Job fair on Wednesday, July 13 in Carol Stream IL. 10-15 temp to hire, full-time forklift opportunities.

Job Fair located at 2303 W. Indian Trail Rd. Aurora IL. 60506. We have 2nd shift General Labor positions at 609 S. Kirk Rd in St. Charles IL. 60174 base pay for those positions is $9.00 an hour and we also have Forklift Operator positions available in Aurora IL. same location as the Job Fair the base pay for those positions is $10.00 an hour but once training is completed they will earn $11.00 an hour and the best part is that we offer a Productivity Incentive Plan which they have the opportunity to earn up to $17.25 an hour.
