On August 18, 2012, the National Women Veterans United (NWVU) will host their 5th Annual Gala Luncheon Fund-Raiser Honoring Women Veterans Past and Present. The event "Women Veterans Are Heroes Too" will be held at 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel located at 5000 West 127th Street Alsip, IL. Read more [...]
We hope to see everyone at the Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 26th. We are Number 90 and there are two ways to connect with us for the Parade.
1) At 7:45 AM we are meeting at the General Jones Armory at 52nd and Cottage Grove.
2) At 11 AM we are gathering on Wacker Drive between Clark and LaSalle. Again, we are No. 90. Look for us, our signs and the Humvees there. Read more [...]
CVO, and its member organization National Women Veterans United (NWVU) are on a mission and need your help to raise a $1,000 for one scholarship to a graduating ward of the state. CVO is supporting this effort with a $100 contribution and I have decided to contribute personally as well. We hope that you will, too. Give what you can: $100, $50 or even $25. We need to raise $1,000 quickly.
